Workplace stress and anxiety is at an all time high. In 2016, the World Health Organisation reported that if treatment for mental health wasn’t scaled up, the world would lose 12 billion workdays to depression and anxiety disorders by 2030.
A recent survey by Accenture reported that 90% of workers in the UK have been touched by mental health challenges and for 76% of them, mental health challenges had affected their ability to enjoy life.
Sleep deprivation, a major contributor to workplace stress, is estimated by research group RAND Europe to cost the UK economy £40.2 billion in loss of workplace productivity and estimates this will steadily rise in cost to £47 billion by 2030, if current trends continue.
Many businesses have now implemented workplace mental health initiatives such as Mindfulness programmes, with some impressive results.
With the benefit of a corporate background including many years at board level, Deborah is fully aware of the challenge businesses face in supporting their workforce through demanding times. She has managed large change management projects including working hand in hand with HR and L&D colleagues to develop and implement new organisational structures. Deborah has developed many senior managers and managed teams of almost one thousand employees.
Her combined experience of workplace coaching and mentoring, over twenty five years of personal meditation and mindfulness practice and her training in a large variety of proven stress management practices make her ideally placed to help your business.
